Caroline Campbell Stevenson
I’m 14 years old and a student at Indian Mountain School in Lakeville, Connecticut. I was born in New York City and lived there until my family moved to Salisbury, Connecticut in 2020 when i was in 3rd grade.
(or “C.C.” for short)
Beginning 4th Grade at IMS opened new doors for me. I’ve discovered a love for Theater, Science, Latin, Ski Racing, Dance, English, playing in Rock Band.
When we moved to CT, my family took on two rescue cats and a big, fluffy dog–my little sister and I love having pets. My family is warm and wonderful, and a little bit wacky.
Academics are important to me. I was inducted into the Pi Tau Mu Honor Society for students in the top 5% of the school academically.
I most enjoy Science, English/Humanities, and Latin. I’ve received the Science Prize for the last two years.
I’m looking forward to diving deeper into Science, Classical Languages, and English in secondary school.
Theater and dance have emerged as my favorite activities.
I’ve explored Shakesperean roles like Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and the title role in Macbeth. I’ve also participated in youth and professional productions at the Sharon Playhouse, a regional theater in our community. In Annie, Our Town, and Oliver!, I’ve gotten to learn alongside professional actors including Broadway veterans and Tony nominees. In youth theater shows, I’ve experienced both full scale musicals like Shrek and new adaptations of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Peter Pan.
I love taking care of my community. A soccer coach once called me “Mother Goose” because I try to care for people and participate in activities with encouragement, empathy, and curiosity. Even if I am not the strongest player or the lead in a show, I try to bring a group together.
I’m excited about by the sense of possibility in secondary school! I hope this site helps you get to know me, my strengths, my interests, and how I hope to contribute to my school community as I learn and grow.
